meshEAST is a new blog about Atlantic Canadian startup companies in the IT and the interactive media sector by Lisa Rousseau.
It really is great to hear stories of local companies and their ups and downs. It is much more relevant reading than TechCrunch and all of the other Silicon Valley/US centric IT media sites. I look forward to hearing more about the challenges and sucesses of startups in Canada and especially New Brunswick. Since the industry is quite dispersed and composed of a lot of smaller players, we don’t often hear much about what is going on around us.
Through meshEAST I also discovered StartupNorth which is billed as covering “The life and death of Canadian startups”. Again, a much needed resource in this web that is so heavily focused on the US and Silicon Valley.
