Buying a Nokia N810 in Canada

Canadians can finally buy Nokia N810 internet tablet IN Canada! That is right after being disappointed and left out with the previous releases of the N800 and 770 internet tablets, Nokia Canada is finally offering the N810 for sale on their website for $485 CAD. That is for those who aren’t content to run OS2008 on their N800 tablets.

Prior tablets had to be purchased in the US or from a retailer of devices which ship to Canada (with a premium price markup naturally). I had previously purchased my from i-cube and was satisfied with my purchase but it is very nice to see that Nokia Canada is getting its act together and offering these devices directly in Canada.

The only other source which I found advertising the Nokia N810 is expansys.ca which is taking pre-orders for them for $519 but I can’t see a reason why I would want to pay an extra $35 for my purchase.

Kudos Nokia!

Update (Dec 17): It appears that the expansys price is fluctuating with the Canadian dollar exchange rate. It is now at $524 while the Nokia price has remained at $485. Expansys is also still showing the N810 as “Coming Soon”.

Update (March 15): There is now a promo code available for a 15% discount.

  2. […] the Canadian price at the nokia.ca online store is still marked as the original $485 CAD. Hopefully we will see a $50 dollar drop soon in order to match the US […]

  3. Hi Danny-

I just won a Nokia N810 and I am embarassed to admit that I don’t even know what it ‘does’! Is it a blackberry type thing? I would be happy to sell it (you can tell I’m a huge techno-dork) if anyone could make better use of it than me.

  4. Hi Erin,
looking at the date, i guess the device must be gone, but if you still have it, and want to sell it, contact me.
