Debugging in Eclipse – Tips and tricks

I came across a great blog entry describing some tips and tricks for debugging in Eclipse. Tips include how to make variable inspection much simpler using a debug detail formatter, using a class load breakpoint, displaying all references to an object and how to display all instances of a class.

Using a debugger properly and efficiently is such a leap over trying to find and fix bugs through trial and error or other methods. The investment in becoming proficient will pay great dividends.

To think of how many people only know how to use println debugging…
