Helping the U.S. bypass H1B regulations?

As Tim Bray points out, points out, Microsoft is setting up a Vancouver office which will help them hire people which they otherwise wouldn’t be able to due to H1B issues. Perhaps Fredericton could do the same of Boston and other northeastern US based tech companies? After all, we now have twice daily flights to Boston and we are not that far from Boston or New York for that matter (although admittedly a little bit farther than the Redmond-Vancouver trip).

Anybody at Business New Brunswick be interested in pursuing this economic development strategy?
