There is certainly a love-hate relationship with the Irving’s in the province. Personally I have nothing against them but I really don’t like the fact that the biggest industrial empire in the province happens to own all of the newspapers and by extension information that flows out to New Brunswickers.

Luckily, the Internet and the Carleton Free Press offer us some hope. The Carleton’s website is at http://www.carletonfreepress.com but it currently doesn’t have any content. Hopefully that will change soon.

IRVINGS hire a poor person and make sure they stay as the working poor. There are sooo many ‘walking wounded’ that IRVING has promoted. I am sure the Carleton Free Press will be a success, just to have a voice. Do they have a website??

I am one of the “walking wounded” who worked for the Irvings and was treated poorly by them.

I wish Carleton Free Press every success and hope that, at some time, the business/political/media climate in the Maritimes will permit the “walking wounded” to discuss what happened to them freely.
