MapQuest reveals new beta map site
Web mapping old timer and volume leader in the US web mapping domain, MapQuest has revealed a new beta website which introduces a new look and some new features.
One of the nicest feature is the streamlined address entry box. Instead of having 5 fields to enter and address (place name, address or intersection, city, state, zip code) the new 1 field address entry box simplifies the entry of locations.
Also, directions are now located side by side with the map as opposed to above the map which should ease the following of directions.
According to the MapQuest beta blog, in the coming in the next few months drag and drop interactions and the ability to save maps and routes are promised.
More information on the new beta are available at Mapquest blog entry and TechCrunch.
