Fredericton in 3D – Google Earth

Fredericton, New Brunswick has been featured as a Google Earth Cities in 3D success story.
In January 2010 over 100 3D representations of buildings were added to Google Earth. These models are photo-textured and have quite a bit of detail in them.

Google Maps adds new terrain view

Last week, Google added a new terrain view to Google Maps.

Google has moved the “Hybrid” view to a “Show Labels” option under the satellite view in order to add the terrain view.

Topozone now has Canadian Maps

The topographic map website TopoZone.com now contains the full set of Canadian topographic maps from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan).  Apparently these maps have been available since August of this year but with only the United States topo maps available previously, I didn’t have much reason to revisit the site.

Google Maps expands map coverage to 54 new countries
